Honest answer: sauna repair in Dubai typically costs AED 300 for diagnostic + AED 500–1,500 for standard repair + occasionally AED 1,500–5,000 for major work like heater replacement or control board swap.
That’s it. The sticker price isn’t a mystery. What gets murky is which category your specific issue falls into – and that’s what the diagnostic visit is for.
The diagnostic visit (AED 300)
Every Euphorium sauna repair starts here. Our technician spends 60–90 minutes on-site with a multimeter, infrared temperature probe, and ventilation flow meter. We isolate the actual fault rather than guessing.
The AED 300 is fully deducted from the final repair quote if you proceed. Most clients do – but you’re not locked in. Some sauna issues turn out to be too expensive to fix relative to a heater upgrade, and we’ll tell you that honestly.
Standard repairs (AED 500–1,500 range)
Roughly 70% of Dubai sauna calls land here. The most common issues at this price band:
- Heating element replacement: AED 700–1,200 including labor. Element life is 4–8 years residential, 2–4 years commercial.
- Sensor or thermostat replacement: AED 500–900. The most common cause of “sauna won’t reach temperature” complaints.
- Control board swap: AED 800–1,400. Modern Harvia, Tylö, and HUUM controllers fail predictably after 7–10 years of daily use.
- Glass door alignment / gasket replacement: AED 500–800. Heat loss through a poorly sealed door reads to your sauna as “not heating properly.”
- Steam generator descale (hybrid units): AED 600–1,000. Dubai water hardness wrecks steam generators inside 3–5 years if not descaled annually.
Major repairs (AED 1,500–5,000)
About 20% of jobs. These usually involve more than one component or the heater itself.
- Full heater replacement: AED 2,000–4,500 depending on brand and kW. A new Harvia 6kW is around AED 2,800 supplied and installed. Premium Tylö or HUUM heaters run AED 3,500–4,500.
- Electrical rebuild: AED 1,500–3,000 for sauna-side wiring, contactors, RCD, breaker panel adjustments. Required when the original install was undersized.
- Cladding refurbishment: AED 2,000–5,000 to replace damaged or rotted wood interior panels. Usually only needed on outdoor or hybrid units past 10 years old.
What changes the price
Three factors swing the quote up or down:
- Brand: Harvia and Tylö parts cost more than Sawo or Sentiotec. HUUM premium controllers cost more again. Custom and unbranded units often have parts compatibility issues that add hours to the diagnostic.
- Access: A villa basement sauna with a tight crawl space costs more in labor than a guest-bathroom infrared cabin.
- Speed: Same-day emergency response for commercial clients (gym, hotel) carries a 30–50% premium over standard scheduling. Residential same-day is included at no extra charge in Dubai.
Out-of-warranty and “is it worth fixing?”
If your sauna is 8+ years old and the heater fails, the math sometimes favors a new heater and a 5-year warranty over rebuilding the existing one. Same with control electronics that fail twice in 18 months – that’s a sign the supporting electrical isn’t right and a patch repair will fail again.
We’ll tell you when we see this. Our incentive isn’t a single repair invoice – it’s that you call us again next time, and the time after that.
How to get a faster, cheaper repair
Three things make every repair quote lower:
- WhatsApp photos first: Send pictures of the heater, the control panel, any error codes, and the model sticker on the side. We can often shortlist the issue before the visit, which means we arrive with the right part and skip the second trip.
- Note the symptoms specifically: “Sauna doesn’t heat” is hard to diagnose. “Sauna heats to 50°C then trips the breaker after 20 minutes” is solvable in one visit.
- Ask for an annual service plan: AED 800–1,500/year covers 3–4 visits, descale, electrical safety check, and stone replacement. Catches issues at AED 500 stage instead of AED 3,000 stage.
What we won’t do
We won’t quote a number sight-unseen. We won’t promise a specific repair without diagnosing first. We won’t replace a working part because “it might fail soon.” And we won’t tell you a 12-year-old heater needs only AED 600 of work when honestly it’s AED 3,000 of work waiting to happen.
