A heater that will not heat can have a control, sensor, heating-element or heat-loss problem. The symptom alone does not identify the failed part. Record the heater and controller models before using a troubleshooting table.
Checks an owner can make safely
- Read the display and photograph the exact message and the external nameplate, without opening covers.
- Check the ordinary timer and temperature settings against the matching user manual. Check that the door closes normally.
- Keep people away from equipment with smoke, a burning smell, damaged cables or water around electrical parts. Stop use and seek professional help.
- A tripped breaker or repeated safety fault needs investigation. Do not repeatedly reset breakers, open live equipment or bypass any safety device.
Which symptoms need a technician?
No display, persistent trips, uneven heating, a continuing sensor error or a heater that remains cold after correct normal settings need diagnosis. A technician can distinguish element, supply, relay, sensor and controller faults. A door or seal problem can also lose heat; replacing the heater without checking the room may leave the cause unresolved.

Service or replacement?
A sensor or controller fault does not by itself establish that the whole heater needs replacement. Confirm the failed component, compatible parts, safe repairability and the room requirements before deciding. Stone condition, ventilation and heat loss also need checking against the exact heater manual; an owner should not rearrange wiring or defeat controls to compensate.
