CTO cartridge inlet-end detail. Kit includes CTO-20 and CTOS-20 cartridges plus a filter wrench.
Replacement kit containing the 20-inch CTO-20 and CTOS-20 cartridges and a filter-cartridge wrench for the CGS-22 dual-cartridge filtration system. The CTO cartridge fits the inlet housing; the CTOS cartridge with scale-inhibitor beads fits the outlet housing.
Keep cartridge identification until fitting: mark CTO as position 1 and CTOS as position 2. Shut off steam-unit power before the water supply, release housing pressure and inspect the housing O-rings during replacement.
Flush the replaced cartridges to a drain for five minutes or until the water runs clear. Reopen and verify the water supply before restoring steam-unit power.
Typical replacement intervals are six months for CTO and twelve months for CTOS, with earlier changes if water conditions cause reduced flow or pressure.
