MrSteam: identify the generator and the control together
The MrSteam MS90E-MS400E / MS Super residential generators, PUR 100472A REV 6.24 manual separates generator troubleshooting from the connected control. Its status guidance distinguishes water-level, temperature-probe and electrical-input faults. A display message alone does not establish which component needs replacement.
For an iTempo or iTempoPlus installation, the MrSteam iTempo / iTempoPlus controls, PUR 100474 REV 05.22 manual also distinguishes a control inside the steam room from a permitted outside location that needs the matching remote temperature probe. Sensor location and the exact control generation matter when investigating an incorrect temperature or a control that will not operate. These are technician checks, not instructions to open the equipment.
Steamist: legacy TSG equipment and Total Sense controls
The Steamist TSG-7 / TSG-10, Pub. No. 203-L, 07/16 plumbing manual covers those specific residential generators. Its application limits should not be read as approval for a commercial venue. A venue assessment starts with the actual model and its permitted duty, rather than assuming any home generator can serve a gym.
The Steamist TSC-450, Pub. No. 290-D, 12/15 installation manual identifies that edition’s TSC-450 as a control for the then-current TSG generators. It is not evidence that every Steamist control fits every generator. The separate Steamist Total Sense controls, Total Sense Error Codes, Revised 11/04/13 sheet distinguishes communication, water-fill, drain and tank-temperature faults; the matching controller and document edition must be established before interpreting a message.
Steamist retains legacy documentation through its manufacturer document library. Photograph the generator and controller labels so the assessment can identify the original system and compatible service parts. No parts availability is implied.
What the installation or repair assessment covers
- Generator model, serial label, controller model and the exact displayed message.
- For a new installation or replacement: room construction, generator location, service access, steam route, water, drainage and electrical requirements against the selected manual.
- For an existing fault: operating history, visible leaks, settings and whether steam ever starts; internal water-level, sensor, control and electrical diagnosis belongs to a competent technician.
- Stop use for repeated electrical trips, damaged wiring, smoke or water around electrical equipment. Do not repeatedly reset protection, bypass a sensor or open live equipment.
