Here’s exactly how those 14 days break down – and where the schedule actually slips when projects do go long.
The 14-day residential timeline

What stretches the schedule
1. Electrical capacity
If your villa’s electrical panel doesn’t have a free 16–32A breaker for a dedicated sauna circuit, we need a DEWA-licensed electrician to add one. That coordination adds 2–5 days. We flag this on the site visit so you know in advance.
2. Building permission / HOA
Apartment installs and townhouses sometimes need building manager approval. We’ve seen this take anywhere from 1 day (responsive HOA) to 14 days (slow building manager who wants engineering letters before approving). For penthouse and rooftop installs, this jumps to 2–6 weeks because of structural and Civil Defense sign-offs.
3. Material supply
Standard cedar, hemlock, thermowood, and Harvia/Tylö heaters we keep in stock. Custom orders – premium HUUM heaters, specific glass thicknesses, custom door hardware – can add 1–3 weeks while we import. We tell you the lead time at design stage.
4. Ventilation routing
Most Dubai installs route exhaust into existing bathroom or AC duct returns. When a building’s ductwork is unusually configured, we sometimes have to route through ceiling void or external wall – adds 2–4 days of carpentry and core drilling.
The commercial timeline (6–12 weeks)
For hotel SPAs, gym wellness zones, and multi-room recovery facilities, the timeline is fundamentally different because of permits, M&E coordination, and the sheer scope.

The longest pole on commercial is almost always permits, not construction. We submit early and follow up weekly. We don’t sub out permit work – our design lead handles it directly.
Can it be done faster?
Sometimes, in narrow circumstances:
- Prefab cabin install: 5–7 days if your space is already prepared and electrical is in place. Fast but limits design choices.
- Replacement install (existing sauna being refreshed): 7–10 days because most infrastructure is in place.
- Outdoor pod with no permits required: 10–12 days if your villa garden has clear access.
What never works: skipping the site visit. Every “rush quote” we get asked to give without seeing the space turns into a renegotiation later. The 90-minute site visit is the highest-leverage hour of the project.
What you do during the 14 days
Almost nothing, honestly. Once we start the build:
- Daily progress photos to your WhatsApp
- Single point of contact (our crew lead, not a call center)
- One short “this is what’s happening today” check-in if it would help – most clients don’t need it
- Site cleanup at end of every day
- You don’t need to be home during the work, only for the site visit and the final handover walkthrough
