Founder story

Ryan Black founded Euphorium in Dubai in 2025 after experiencing the recovery market as a committed user. He completed a cold-plunge practice every day for one year before moving to a sustainable several-times-per-week routine. Euphorium began to solve the problems he experienced directly: high monthly costs, restrictive opening times, shared water, limited privacy, forced social interaction for regular users, cold plunges that were not cold enough and saunas that were not hot enough.

The first operation was a 24/7 staffless private ice bath and sauna facility, launched at AED 400 per month. It offered private rooms, cold water down to 3 C and traditional sauna heat up to 100 C, and served a few thousand client visits.

How operating failures built the technical edge

After roughly six months of high usage, equipment and supporting systems began failing. Reliable local repair and setup support was difficult to find. Ryan and the Euphorium team studied the systems, worked with factories, tested repairs and rebuilt equipment for real operating conditions.

That experience became Euphorium's technical-services capability: chiller and sauna diagnosis and repair, custom chillers and saunas, ice bath retrofits, plunge-pool and selected larger-pool conversions, and residential or commercial wellness projects. The perspective combines engineering-led problem solving, Canadian operating experience, factory collaboration, firsthand use and the lessons of running a high-use commercial facility.
